Taí o que com certeza deve ter sido um dos momento mais importantes de registro da história do Jazz. Se deu numa manhã de agosto de 1958, quando o fotógrafo e estusiasta do jazz Art Kane (Abril 9, 1925 – Fevereiro 3, 1995) reuniu (sem ajuda de mídias sociais, Teresa…) 57 músicos de jazz mais significativos do momentos para uma foto no Harlem (Nova York), na foto estão, entre outros, Art Blakey, Count Basie, Lester Young, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Sonny Rollins, Mary Lou Williams, e Marian McPartland.
